Energy
Energy is within every human being.
It’s the force that radiates to the external world.
We as humans have a gift by the creator, to pick up on other people’s energy.
The reason I’m saying this is because, there is an energy imbalance in the modern world.
In highly developed cities, the energy that I feel from other people is remarkably different compared to rural villages.
Me and my brother went on an adventure on April 1, 2026.
We visited a rural village called ‘Katoomba’, next to the famous Blue Mountains National Park in New South Wales, Australia.
I’m going to give different excerpts of relevant experiences.
Immediately upon arriving at the train station, as I took a breath of air, the air felt crisp, clear, and fresh.
Very different to Sydney.
As we were walking to exit the train station, a lady of an older demographic looks at me. Pauses. And compliments my appearance, specifically around the shape of my facial hair.
After living 19 years in Sydney, I’ve never had that happen to me once.
Me and my brother were having a conversation with her for around 30 mins.
Turns out, Robyn was deeply interested in unconventional topics like the universe, spirituality, and philosophy.
Robyn hosts her own local radio show, and she invited us to appear on it.
Now this was key sign #1 from the universe.
I say key sign #1 because there were many experiences in that day, you can call “Coincidences” that were definitely a sign from the universe.
That first encounter with Robyn confirmed it.
The fact that she commented positively about me and my brother’s energy, and was interested in exactly the same topic we enjoy, shows that aligned individuals can pick up on other people’s energy.
“I do not believe in meaningless coincidences. I believe every coincidence is a message, a clue about a particular facet of our lives that requires our attention. ~ Deepak Chopra
Chopra, Deepak. The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence. Harmony Books, 2003.
And I think that message from the universe is that aligned people and true human connection do exist in this modern world.
That’s what the universe was trying to communicate to me.
I am so hurt that we have lost the art of social skills, and actually caring about the importance of human connection in everyday life. I feel an emptiness in my soul.
The mere fact that when I look around in my physical environment within my neighborhood in Punchbowl, Sydney, Australia, no one knows each other.
It’s not normal.
The only things I see in that area, are metal machine cars driving across the road with loud noises, with drivers looking dull and staring at me in a menacing way every time I look inside the car.
It blows my mind (and it should for yours too)
These people’s daily routine looks like
Wake up
Eat breakfast
Get dressed
Get inside of the car
Drive to work or wherever destination they’re going.
Make money
Take care of their family
Hangout with their friends
Dinner
Sleep
Repeat
I’ve literally observed it across numerous households in Punchbowl.
There’s even a young kid in a 2 story house, that and my brother see in his room, just sitting on his bed playing games on an iPad in the evening time.
He’s been doing that for a year straight. I wish I was joking.
Then the house next door, I’ve only seen people actually outside around 3 times in the span of 9 years living there.
Those 3 times were talking with other friends in the driveway, getting in the car, and talking to someone on the phone in the driveway.
Then our neighbor directly next to us, is an older gentleman who never leaves his house. And the main things he does is cut his grass and maintain the house.
Even a young guy across the road has a desk and monitor (as I can see from his window), and I’ve never seen him walk outside once.
Now you could say that It depends on timing. How do you know if these people never walked outside? They could of went at a different time than you.
That’s a good point.
But I’ve been walking in the morning time in that area for about 5 years.
By weight of probability, that’s a lot of times to not have 1 person walking in the morning time
Not 1 single person around my physical environment do I know.
Not let’s move back to Katoomba on April 1, 2026.
As me and my brother were leaving the train station after our delightful conversation with Robyn, were were walking to the closest supermarket Coles to pack some food.
My brother randomly looks at the drivers in the cars, and one gentleman just waves at us with a warm smile.
Do you see the difference between that and punchbowl?
If I were to do that in Punchbowl, I would receive back a dull gaze back at me.
As we walk inside the supermarket, we notice that different stranger’s know each other.
“Oh, hello Debra how’s everything?”
Those were the dialogues we would hear.
Now, I’m going to give another relevant excerpt.
It’s now 6pm (evening time), we are at the “golden hour”.
Sunset is at 7pm.
We are exploring this area called Minnehaha Falls Track.
I’ve attached an image of what the track looked like
We wanted to visit here: (2nd image)
Along the track (1st image), I felt this eerie feeling.
I clearly said to my brother, “I feel like there’s something off in the energy here, I have the feeling like there’s a guy just lurking in the bush waiting to cause harm”
What’s interesting about this, is my brother had the same feeling too!
He said, he felt like some guy was lurking around, and was going to cause harm
This is key sign #2 of the universe.
It’s synchronicity right in front of us.
Luckily we didn’t keep walking further, and we stopped at a creek, called “Yosemite Creek” which was more open.
This is where I sat down under the flowing creek, and immersed my whole body in cold water.
It was freezing cold water.
Doesn’t matter. Every 1st day of the month always means a cold plunge… (It’s our ritual, and should be yours too)
As we were leaving from that place, we realised that there are no buses running anymore.
Which meant we are stranded there with an hour walk with various steep hills to the nearest train station.
As we are standing there on the street at dusk, an older gentleman walking his dog, checks up on us, and asks if we are okay. We let him know, we are just waiting for a taxi. As he’s such a kind gentleman, he empathised with us, and says “I’m so sorry for that”. We had a bit of a convo, turns out he is actually American, but he now lives in Katoomba. He used to live in Sydney, but he “Never looked back” on making the move to Katoomba.
That’s key sign #3 from the universe.
He didn’t have to stop and check in on us. He doesn’t even know me. And we both agreed that the energy in Katoomba is different compared to Sydney.
Luckily, we ordered a taxi.
There were no uber drivers around.
I called Katoomba taxi services and they confirmed the booking. I never received a tracking link, and never knew what time the taxi was arriving. Multiple google reviews said that they arrive late.
I checked on when the next train is.
“Oh no, our train is in 10 minutes, we’re not going to make it, I said to my brother”
The next service was almost an hour later.
1 minute later.
Next train is delayed by an additional 7 mins.
That was the only train that was delayed out of the entire day.
The one we needed to catch.
That’s key sign #4 from the universe.
Minutes after, the taxi arrives.
We arrive at the train station EXACTLY on time, so when we entered, the train just arrived.
That’s key sign #5 from the universe.
How could it be, that an unreliable taxi service decided to show up exactly on time for our train?
Conclusion
The main takeaway from this story is as follows.
Find a physical environment where your energy is aligned with other people.
From earlier in punchbowl, my energy wasn’t aligned there.
Dull gazes from drivers in cars, no one walking the street and socializing with each other, and overall seems like a self centered existence.
The way you do this is through exploring new pl
aces.
Never forget about the art of adventure.
Goodbye, and see you next time.
With care,
Oliver
